THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Barcelona has become the culinary heart of Europe and having a known, ambitious, responsible, level headed chef as part of the team is necessary. Experience, maturity, dedication and talent are part of the integral criterion we are looking for.

Management
At least one member of the team should have experience in managing restaurants/bars. A person dedicated to the running of the day to day operations of the business, staffing issues, suppliers, etc. Here a command of Spanish will definitely help, but is not essential.

Public Relations
An important aspect to the re-launch of the business under the new management will be the promotion of the restaurant lounge. In the competitive restaurant world of Barcelona this will probably be the most important element and one we have singled out as indispensable for the incoming team to execute well. Again, experience in the marketing and promotion of the lounge to locals, expats and tourists is essential to the success of the operation.

Investment
A financial investment in the business will be required. If we are to give away management control of our baby we need to know that the new team will be committed to its success. The only way to assure this is through a financial commitment. Of the funds invested, some will be reinvested into the re-launch of the business. Profit sharing and, eventually, equity are also issues that are open for discussion with interested parties.

I run a small English school in Central Tokyo. The building is clean and the office is big and beautiful. It has one main big room with a kitchenette and a lot of storage. Then there is a smaller room which I use for a classroom. The main room is furnished like a screening room with an 80inch projector movie screen and several couches along with my desks. All in all, it is a pretty nice space... simple but beautiful... and very clean.

Now, I am looking for someone to share the space with me.

What I am offering is :
- use the office during regular business hours (8am to 6pm - M to F; 11am to 6pm - Weekends)
- you can have one desk and plenty of storage space
- free Internet and utilities (reasonable use please - if you want to charge your electric car, we are going to have to negotiate utilities split)
- telephone... depending on your needs, we can get you a new line, or you can just share my line... I really never use the office phone... we can also set up a fax if you like... I have the machine but never had any need to set it up (brand new nice digital machine --> you can also use it as a scanner)

What I am asking is :
- 150 000 yen per month (pay two months up front)
- telephone bill (maybe - depends on you)
- no key money

Simply put, if you want to share my office with me, you will need to give me 300 000 yen up front, then pay month by month starting from the end of month one. Your first payment covers your first and last months' rents. This is standard in Canada... Japanese style is a little bit different and a big pain in my opinion. I had to spend over 12 000 Canadian dollars just to walk into this place.

Anyway - we will be spending a lot of time together, so let's meet first and see if we get along.
