The house is situated in the shinjuku area, 2 stops from the main station on the sobu lign. Then it takes about 13 mn to come by foot from the station.
I rent 2 rooms usually but until march, as Marco is here in the small room I have the big one available.
I provide towels, sheets, and the use of every facilities such as kitchen and laundry. We share also the bathroom where there is a ofuro, japaneese style bath.
I rent mostly weekly on a base of 45 000 yens per week or 56 000 Y for 2 people.

As I said this is an old house, so be prepared to experience the old japaneese life style also, the heater is mostly sumi in the main room and we use water bouillote in the beds! but there is also gaz and electricity to warm everything up .
Japaneese winter is very sunny so we also can benefit often from the sun in the house and have breakfast on the engawa facing the garden which is a real treat in Tokyo!

1) Most of Craigslist listings are either waaay out there or really shabby and tiny. So I'm looking for some people, with whom I can look for a room together and live together.

I am thinking about 800 US dollars or less for each with three or four people including myself. Good news is that we can live in a central Tokyo at only 800, which is incredibly small amount at least for NY standard. And indeed we can live in a beautiful apartment. Another good news is I do speak and understand Japanese; we can go to Japanese agencies. Also I've lived there before (and that is why I know craigslist listings suck).
