This is basically a sort of alternate history kind of story. With a bit different social strategy/organization around sex. However, nothing worse than has happened in real history. For some reason Facebook has pegged this book as somehow illicit. But they also pegged _The Quicksand Pony_ as violating their animal cruelty rules, which is completely misplaced, since the Pony in question is a hero in an excellent children's book.
However, there are some S/M scenes in this book. There are also some horrendous battle scenes, lots of double-crossing, slavery and torture, and so on. Again, not really unlike real history.
