This is a riveting read. I don't care about the criticism.
If anyone has had a family member or friend completely _uck up their lives with an addiction, this is the book to read.
It hurts and it also helps heal. But be warned. The 4 week programs generally don't really work. Only a small percentage do not revert. The few people I have seen finally kick their addictions, are the ones that lived long enough to become old enough to just plain get tired of being addicted and losing so much, and to finally have the patience to work harder (VERY VERY HARD) at kicking the habits.
