About Us:
We are a fledgling elementary after-school program located in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Japan. We are a new program that opened one year ago. We are committed to providing an exciting and engaging environment for young learners. Our program focuses on language development using an as native academic approach. By engaging students to use their second language skills in a variety of natural scenarios, academic and recreational, we enable our students to develop their skills for communication.
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. Initially, this is a part-time teacher role. If the applicant is successful, we hope that they can expand their position to help the school grow. As an integral member of our team, your insight and talents will help us develop and provide productive and exciting classes for our students. Ideal candidates will be seeking to contribute to the growth of a company in the interest of creating new opportunities for themselves and their students.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Conducting Classes: Adapt lessons to engage students and help them meet learning goals.
Supervision and Support: Provide attentive and caring supervision to students during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assistance with Activities: Assist in organizing and leading a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and educational games.
Homework Assistance: Provide support to students with their homework assignments, reinforcing concepts learned during regular school hours.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, and other program staff to ensure a collaborative and positive environment.
Clean-Up and Organization: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized program space, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an English Speaking University.
Enthusiastic and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in working with elementary-aged children.
Native-level English.
Prior experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly recommended.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Flexibility in adapting to the dynamic needs of the program.
Working Hours:
Part-time hours, typically 15 hours per week, A most typical shift would be M,W, and F from 3-8, There are additional shifts available subject to the applicant's needs/abilities, including potential full-time work.
Compensation:
Starting compensation is 2500 JPY/Hour.
There are additional performance based bonuses throughout the year, as well as the possibility for a full-time position.
Commuting Fee up to 10000 JPY/month.
