■Job Title: Kindergarten Teacher (Full Time)
■ Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
・Must have at least 4 years experience teaching children
between the ages 2-6
・Bachelor’s Degree or Master's degree required
・Teaching license required
・Learn and apply pedagogical teachings adhered to Inquiry based learning
・Currently living in Japan, Has Working Visa
■ Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Classes:
・Kindergarten Inquiry
・Kindergarten Math
・Kindergarten Language Arts
・Kindergarten Assembly and SEL
・Nature Studies (once-twice a month)
・School Wide Action(collaborative session with teachers to coordinate an event with students)
・Create Lesson Plans and Syllabus for the each Term
・Documentation of Student Behavior and Present work on assigned platform
*Inquiry based learning is a curriculum framework that encourages collaboration upon planning for new units
■ Classroom Management:
・Applying methods of classroom
・Willing to apply discipline consistent with the school’s social & emotional approach
・Record attendance for your assigned grade level.
・Weekly lesson plans must be completed by Friday for the following week.
・Student Behavior to be observed and recorded to report to the Social and Emotional Specialist.
■ Meetings and Workshops:
・Participate in weekly Professional Development (once a week 16:30-18:00)
・Collaborative Teaching Meeting (Once a week for 30-60 min during school hours)
■ Student Assessments:
・Compile Report Cards for your assigned grade level
・Incorporate Assessments for each class
・Published documentation of class learning(once a week)
■ Safety and Health:
・All teachers must be certified by a first aid program, either MFA or Red Cross offered in the school. (Certifications must be renewed annually) (8 hours workshop)
・Attend monthly safety and health workshops offered by the school (once a month)
・Incident Reports to be submitted to Leadership Members or Safety Health Coordinator at the end of the day
■ Classroom Hygiene:
・Each teacher in the classroom will be responsible for keeping classrooms in a hygienic environment.
・Cleanliness is a very important aspect in the school community.
・Each teacher will be responsible for keeping the classrooms clean by following the hygienic procedures mandated by the administrator
■Working Condition
・ Contract Term : April 1st, 2026-March 31st, 2027 *contract may be renewed
・ Days: Monday to Friday (5 times a week)
・ Working Hours: 8:00-17:00 (45-60 min break)
・ Location: Fujisawa-shi Hatori 3-1-8 Aerus Tsujido C-2F
・ Salary: 252,000 yen ~ 358,500 yen
・Probation Period: 6 months
・Induction Program for new teachers: Available
■ Alternative Programs and Duty:
・Summer Program and Summer Gakudo Program(planning and teaching) 2-3 weeks
・Winter Programs 1 week
・Autumn Child Care 2 weeks
・Morning Duty, Lunch Duty, Child Care (once-three times a month)
・Assisting School events (3-5 times a year)
