Part-Time English Teacher (Temporary/Gyomu Itaku)
Location: Katsushika, Tokyo (Near Keisei Tateishi station)
Period: May 5th – September 5th
Are you looking for a teaching role with a very casual atmosphere and a manageable schedule? We are seeking a reliable and energetic teacher to join our school for a fixed-term summer contract.
The Role
This is a subcontracting (Gyomu Itaku) position covering a four-month period. You will be responsible for 27 classes and approximately 47 students.
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday.
Hours: * Tue–Fri: 2:30 PM – 8:20 PM
Sat: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
2 weeks paid vacation over Obon
Total: Approx. 23 hours per week.

Language Policy: No "English Only" rule—feel free to use Japanese to explain meanings when helpful.
Support: Our Japanese school manager is on-site Tuesday and Friday. On other days, you’ll work independently but can contact her anytime if questions arise.
Our Students & Curriculum
We teach a diverse range of ages, so no two days are the same:
Preschool: Fun lessons focusing on vocab, songs, and videos.
Elementary: Mostly Eiken and Eiken Junior prep.
Middle School: Following the school textbooks.
High School (1–2 students): Test prep for ESAT-J and Eiken. (Our manager, handles all the prep for these custom lessons)
Adults: Relaxed private conversation and one grammar-focused class.
Requirements
Native or near-native English proficiency.
Some Japanese ability is useful (to help students understand complex points).
Available to commit to the full duration (May 5th – Sept 5th).
