We're looking for friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable tour guides in Tokyo! We run a mix of evening food tours, half-day walking tours, and also evening cultural tours with a focus on the LGBT community.
Here’s what we’re looking for in a guide:
- Friendly and personable: a good personality makes 80% of the job!
- Reliable and professional (please do not apply if you consider being a tour guide a simple and easy side-job to get quick money)
- Passionate about Japanese culture and food: you need to know more than just Shibuya and Golden Gai, and your food knowledge goes beyond yakitori and ramen.
- Fluent in Japanese (minimum JLPT N3).
- You've lived in Japan for at least 5 years.
- Native or near-native English speaker (bonus if you also speak French or Spanish!).
This is a freelance position, so you’ll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule. There’s plenty of work available if you’re looking to stay busy. Please note that we only look for candidates who are willing to work at least 3 times a week.
