Position: Restaurant & Café Manager – Yuzawa / Tokyo
About Us
Artemodo Interior operates a design-focused café, wine bar, and furniture showroom in Yuzawa, Niigata — a beautiful mountain town just one hour from Tokyo by bullet train. The space combines great food, art, and design in a relaxed, stylish setting that attracts both locals and travelers during ski season.
We are looking for a hands-on manager to help oversee the café and restaurant operations in Yuzawa and assist in developing a second café project. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of hospitality — managing, serving, and shaping guest experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, stock management, and customer service
Work directly on the floor during busy times — greeting guests, seating clients, assisting the team as needed
Coordinate with ownership on menu planning, events, and seasonal promotions
Help organize small events such as art nights, wine tastings, or private dinners
Train, schedule, and motivate part-time staff
Support the setup and coordination of a second café location
Ideal Candidate
Experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality management
Warm, professional presence — comfortable interacting with guests and leading by example
Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
Interested in design, food, and lifestyle concepts
English required; conversational Japanese is a plus
Able to split time between Yuzawa and Tokyo
Schedule & Compensation
2–3 days per week minimum (mainly weekends during the winter season)
More hours available for those who wish to take an active role in daily operations or events
Flexible off-season schedule; remote coordination possible
Compensation based on experience and role scope
Accommodation support available in Yuzawa during workdays
