My name is Julien. I am French and currently living in Tokyo. I am currently studying Japanese at the Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute, where I began in April of this year.
Additionally, I am volunteering for the Association of French and french speakers living in Japan. As a volunteer, my role is to organize cultural events for our members. Furthermore, before I moved to Japan, I studied Economic & Social Sciences in High School and Company & Administration Management in the University. I also studied English & Spanish. After graduating, I worked for 5 years as a Sales & Administrative Assistant at AXA.
After school, I’d like to stay and work in Japan. I am looking for professional opportunities focused on international and intercultural relations, especially between France and Japan. I wish I could apply for being an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) or Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) undercover of the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) and the Japan Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
Being a french instructor is part of my project. It is a good way to share my native culture and my language which I’m proud of. In my point of view, French is the language of love, poetry, romance, philosophy, and diplomacy. It is a rich language full of nuance, which offers many different ways to express oneself.
By registering on this website, I offer to become your private french teacher. I can teach to both beginner and experienced students. Ideally, I want to teach students who really want to learn French. My purpose is to support you towards a better mastery and understanding of my native language. I personally prepare the content of each lesson according to your goals. For students who wish to prepare a contest such as DILF, DELF or DALF (A1 to C2), I’ll be happy to be your mentor.
In order to answer your expectations, I propose a first free meeting about one hour, to get to know each other. This first appointment will be the opportunity for me to identify your level, your desires, needs and expectations about my work. We will be able to specify together your goals and consider the kind of course we will implement later. For example: Grammar, Vocabulary, Conversation, Writing, Homework, Text Study such as song, poem or news article. For each course, I will provide students with a summary of the lesson of the day. For beginner students, I can use both English and Japanese to make comprehension easier.
As a teacher, I think my main qualities are my creativity and my adaptability. I’m also punctual, pedagogue, patient and attentive. I try to listen to my students to satisfy them and thereby provide good quality lessons. Furthermore, I have a good spelling and a mastery of my mother tongue, including with a professional level thanks to my previous work experience.
If you think that my profile can match with your research, please don’t hesitate to contact me by mail first. We can exchange a few words beforehand, and I’ll be happy to answer all your questions. Looking forwards to meet you soon.
