Travel Coordinator (Tokyo)

料金: part-time work pay is around 100,000 yen per month, and full-time would be double that

Job role: Travel co-ordinator for Kichi Japan

Language requirements: Fluent in English and Japanese

Other requirements:

Knowledgeable about Japan (both cities and country).
Experience working in the travel industry is preferable.
Proficient with Microsoft office and the use of social media for advertising.
Passionate about Japan and creating memorable experiences for travellers. Must enjoy travel!
Innovative, creative and able to design one-of-a-kind, exciting itineraries using intimate knowledge of Japan and its culture, festivals, villages, islands, events, etc.
Able to participate in a weekly team meeting to set weekly goals.
Has a visa that would allow them to work in Japan, and would not require us to sponsor them.

Working hours: 20+ hours a week (with plans for full-time employment in the future)

Salary: $12.50 / hour

Location: Based in Japan; however, all work can be done remotely (except for the travel needed to potential tour destinations, picking up and meeting clients, etc.).

Responsibilities:

-Organize and create spreadsheets and tour itinerary routes (by looking up train times, locations etc).
-Book accommodations, guides and activities for guests’ itineraries.
-Maintain communication with guests, travel partners and guides when developing and planning trips for guests.
-Create enticing initial emails and sketch itinerary ideas for prospective customers, that is, make our company an -attractive choice to them.
-Create tour templates for different cities, for different purposes, and for special events.
-Make phone calls to prospective guests to follow up with them regarding travel proposals.
-Meeting with guests in Japan to orientate them and show them around.
-Create new ways to develop our customer base (new marketing strategies, social media ideas etc)
-Assist in developing new travel destination ideas, and help to improve the current travel itineraries by finding better vendors or transportation arrangements, and coming up with new ideas.
-Assist with bringing in new educational, group and custom tour customers.
-Find new platforms to advertise our services.
-Find new, fun, and interesting locations within Japan to expand our company's knowledge base (paid travel to said locations may be necessary).
-Contribute to the company blog on a regular basis.
-Potentially travel to global travel conventions to forge connections with travel agents.
