※ On group morning meeting days: 8:00 – 16:30
Work Days:
5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
Working Time:
7.5 hours per day

Job Description:
In this backend engineer position, you will be responsible for the development and operation of travel service APIs.
Using Java and Spring Framework, you will work on system architecture planning, system design, large-scale API development, and operational support, including handling user inquiries.
You will collaborate closely with related teams within the Rakuten Group, such as payment, point, and membership systems, and handle large-scale traffic environments.
This role offers many opportunities to improve your technical skills while working as part of a team, and you are expected to act as a role model for next-generation engineers and contribute to organizational growth.
Required Skills & Experience:
6+ years of experience in large-scale Web API design, development, and operation using Java and Spring Framework on Linux servers
Experience in database design and query creation using RDBMS such as Oracle Database and/or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis
Experience with distributed development using GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar version control systems with Pull Request workflows
Language Requirement:
Business-level English or higher
Salary:
From ¥301,000 per month
(Breakdown: Base salary ¥228,608 + fixed overtime allowance for 40 hours ¥72,392)
Annual Salary:
From ¥3,612,000 / year
