Currently partnering with a leading Japanese HR & Consulting group to expand their specialized Cloud Engineering team. We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect/Lead Engineer who can bridge the gap between pre-sales, high-level design, and team leadership!

Prerequisites
*Design & Construction experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
*2+ years of development experience (Language agnostic) and 2+ years of SQL/NoSQL experience.
*Project Management or Leadership experience (Any scale).
*Japanese level N3 or higher (Business communication fluency).
*Currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa.
Preferred: Experience with Python/Node.js, Containers (ECS), or FaaS (Lambda).
Development Environment
The team is heavily focused on AWS-native architectures:
Core Services: ECS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito.
IaC & Tools: CloudFormation, CDK, Boto3.
Languages: Python is the primary language for backend/automation.
What You Will Do:
End-to-End Solutions: Lead projects from requirement gathering and problem-solving to final design and implementation.
Modern Architecture: Design container-based cloud foundations and execute large-scale cloud migrations from legacy on-premise systems.
Leadership: Act as a Playing Manager, mentoring younger engineers and driving the team’s technical growth.
Continuous Learning: Participate in monthly hands-on AWS study groups and internal "Tech Juku" sessions to stay at the cutting edge.
The Details:
Salary: 5,500,000 - 8,500,000 JPY (Based on experience).
Location: Primarily Remote / Telework. Office hubs in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Shimane.
Work Style: 9:00–17:30 (7.5h work). Excellent work-life balance with average overtime of only 15 hours/month.
