Introduction doesn't have to be long, just brief one is OK as long as key factsts are mentioned such as 1) a starting date and the length of rent you wish, 2) what you do or purpose of your stay in Japan (work/study or anything else), 3) general areas of your work/school/activities/interests, 4) a country of your origin, and 5) your situation (coming from overseas, or already in Japan staying in a share house, friend's apt, etc.).
Although this room is for minimum 3 months stay, I have several other rooms besides this at some different locations which are available for a shorter stay. Above information will help me figure out which room/location might be most suitable and convenient for you and see if the availability timing meets or not.
