Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and high-quality operation of hotel facilities and engineering services.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will help oversee the maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of hotel facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and oversee hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and building systems
- Support operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, kitchen equipment, mechanical systems, and building management systems
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and coordinate appropriate solutions
- Supervise and support engineering team members, contractors, and external vendors
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, hygiene, and hotel operating standards
- Manage maintenance records, inspections, budgets, and engineering-related reporting
Requirements
- Experience in hotel, building, facilities, plant, or property maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building systems
- Bilingual Japanese/English
- Valid work authorization in Japan required
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly salary: ¥300,000–¥500,000
